2024 Team Dinners!

What: Team Dinners for the players and coaches 

Who provides what?

  • Parents provide: Main dish, side dish, dessert, or beverage, per the "2024 Team Dinner and Meal Rotation Schedule" file.
  • Booster Club provides: Plates, cups, utensils, napkins, and serving utensils.

When:

  • Dates:  4/11, 4/25, 5/2, 5/9, 5/29
  • Time:  Dinners served immediately after practice, approximately 7:15pm; dishes arrive to WHS Cafeteria between 7:00 and 7:15pm (no later than 7:15!).

Where:  WHS (cafeteria overflow area)

How:  

  • Use the "2024 Team Dinner and Meal Rotation Schedule" file to determine your assigned dish type.
  • Each week of a Team Dinner, a reminder will be sent along with a Sign-up Genius Link to indicate the specific item you are bringing. This avoids duplicate dishes (e.g., all pasta and no protein, all Gatorade and no milk, etc.). Remember: the dish type (e.g., main) you are bringing has been assigned to you; this sign-up is only to indicate the specific item (e.g., tacos).  

Serving Sizes:  Main dishes should serve ~10, side dishes, desserts, and beverages should serve at least 15. 

Serving Containers:  Bring food in containers you don't want back, unless you are staying to help serve and clean up. Disposable pans/tins are best.

Volunteers Needed:  Three volunteers are needed to help set-up, serve, and clean-up at each of these team dinners. Volunteer at the Sign-Up Genius Link 2024.

May 29th Team Dinner -- Sign-up Genius Link Indicate the specific item you are bringing for the May 29, 2024 dinner. This avoids duplicate dishes (e.g., all pasta and no protein, all Gatorade and no milk, etc.). Remember: the dish type (e.g., main) you are bringing has been assigned to you; this sign-up is only to indicate the specific item (e.g., tacos).   


Dish Ideas

Mains:  Pasta dishes, meatballs, lasagna, casseroles, tacos, sloppy joes, pizza (3-4 pizzas), chicken wings

Sides:  Fresh fruit, potatoes, rice dishes, bread sticks, macaroni and cheese, baked or green beans,  etc.

Beverages:  2-3 gallons of milk (chocolate is popular), case of Gatorade, lemonade, water, etc. (No sodas or thick juices like orange juice)

Desserts:  Brownies, rice crispy treats, bars, cookies (They love them all!)
